Playgrounds / Models for a city that includes children is a cycle of artistic interventions in the Intermediæ Matadero Madrid. “Playgrounds” is based on exploring and listening to the city that is calling out for streets that can be used as places for pleasure and experimentation. From this starting point, different artists are invited to work at the intersection between leisure, childhood, parenting and the city. Playgrounds are tangible or intangible scenarios that encourage unexpected appropriations and uses, practical experiments on the right to play, or sensitive environments in which to relate to children.
